Near the beginning of this blog, before I was armed with a digital camera, I mentioned a favorite nearby restaurant called "BBQ". Tonight, we wanted to treat Katherine's parents to something special, and we hadn't been to BBQ in a month, so we decided to head over there...

A very good friend of ours, Zhang Wei, is sitting just to the left of Katherine. Katherine's parents are on the opposite side of the table and the kitchen is just through the window in the background. Now for the food...

Choy sum ("vegetable heart")

(back to front): giant oyster mushrooms, Chinese red sausage, fish balls

(back to front): Chinese "winter" mushroom and
eggplant with
bonito flakes.

Squid

Pork neck
The entire meal cost about US$9.50 per person (including our beverages). Quite reasonable.
